Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

formerly known as Hodgkin’s disease — is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system.

Osteomyelitis + MRSA + E-Coli + Staph

is an infection of the bone, a rare but serious condition. Bones can become infected in a number of ways: Infection in one part of the body may spread through the bloodstream into the bone, or an open fracture or surgery may expose the bone to infection.

In most cases, a bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus, a type of staph bacteria, causes osteomyelitis.

Certain chronic conditions like diabetes may increase your risk for osteomyelitis. (WebMD)

Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)

is liver inflammation and damage caused by a buildup of fat in the liver. It is part of a group of conditions called nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. You may be told you have a “fatty liver.” Many people have a buildup of fat in the liver, and for most people it causes no symptoms and no problems. But in some people, the fat causes inflammation and damages cells in the liver. Because of the damage, the liver doesn’t work as well as it should. NASH can get worse and cause scarring of the liver, which leads to cirrhosis. (WebMD)

once known as adult-onset or noninsulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition that affects the way your body metabolizes sugar (glucose), your body’s important source of fuel. With type 2 diabetes, your body either resists the effects of insulin — a hormone that regulates the movement of sugar into your cells — or doesn’t produce enough insulin to maintain a normal glucose level. LIFE or DEATH

For most of my adult life starting back in the early 90’s I have been suffering and treated for Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Plaque Psoriasis, Liver Cirrhosis, Type 2 Diabetes, and Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

There is no cure for Lupus.

My other ailments were being treated but it took a severe toll on my body. Unable to work I’ve lost everything and was homeless. I was too ashamed to reach out for help from anybody. The day I was told I had Cancer devastated me, my family as well as my fiance Lalaine. I knew I did not want to be a burden for them. What made my recovery difficult was that having these existing conditions on top of my Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, my road to recovery was going to be long and difficult and PAINFUL.

Given 6 months to live in 09/09/09, A life saving Stem Cell transplant at City of Hope has given me a new lease on life.

(SLE) Lupus

In autoimmune diseases, the immune system turns against parts of the body it is designed to protect. This leads to inflammation and damage to various body tissues. Lupus can affect many parts of the body, including the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and brain. Although people with the disease may have many different symptoms, some of the most common ones include extreme fatigue, painful or swollen joints (arthritis), unexplained fever, skin rashes, and kidney problems.
