is liver inflammation and damage caused by a buildup of fat in the liver. It is part of a group of conditions called nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. You may be told you have a “fatty liver.” Many people have a buildup of fat in the liver, and for most people it causes no symptoms and no problems. But in some people, the fat causes inflammation and damages cells in the liver. Because of the damage, the liver doesn’t work as well as it should. NASH can get worse and cause scarring of the liver, which leads to cirrhosis. (WebMD)

For most of my adult life starting back in the early 90’s I have been suffering and treated for Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Plaque Psoriasis, Liver Cirrhosis, Type 2 Diabetes, and Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

There is no cure for Lupus.

My other ailments were being treated but it took a severe toll on my body. Unable to work I’ve lost everything and was homeless. I was too ashamed to reach out for help from anybody. The day I was told I had Cancer devastated me, my family as well as my fiance Lalaine. I knew I did not want to be a burden for them. What made my recovery difficult was that having these existing conditions on top of my Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, my road to recovery was going to be long and difficult and PAINFUL.

Given 6 months to live in 09/09/09, A life saving Stem Cell transplant at City of Hope has given me a new lease on life.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]

My body started to regenerate all new skin cells. My Lupus butterfly rash, Plaque Psoriasis that covered 40% of my body, my Arthritis and joint swelling gone, as well as the lymphoma was gone. All my other ailments except Diabetes, which runs in the family were, non existent in my blood works. A true Miracle of Science with Soul, the result’s baffled my Doctors and I have been part of their Research Program since then.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]

In autoimmune diseases, the immune system turns against parts of the body it is designed to protect. This leads to inflammation and damage to various body tissues. Lupus can affect many parts of the body, including the joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and brain. Although people with the disease may have many different symptoms, some of the most common ones include extreme fatigue, painful or swollen joints (arthritis), unexplained fever, skin rashes, and kidney problems. Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign for Man or Woman of the Year. I am part of team working to raise as much as possible in a 10-week period. Every dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes/raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year.

But as you know, everyone wins when cancer loses, and thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund the therapies and treatments that save lives, not someday but today.

Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible.
